Name a Snowplow!

The Town of Poughkeepsie Recreation department and the Town of Poughkeepsie Highway department are teaming up to bring you the Name a Snowplow Contest!

Here's how it works:
  • Submit your entries by clicking here
    • You can submit as many unique entries as you can think of!
  • Entries must be submitted by noon on Thursday, December 12th
  • The week of December 16th, all suggested names will be made public and pitted against each other in head-to-head matchups.
  • Your votes determine the winner
  • The last name standing will be crowned the victor
  • An Actual Town of Poughkeepsie snow plow truck will get a new name tag bearing the name chosen by you, the voters.
  • The person who submitted that name will receive:
    • A visit from the newly named truck
    • Their picture taken whilst in the truck
    • That picture in a frame
The Rules:
  • Entries must be 25 characters or less, including spaces
  • Entries must be appropriate, for example:
    • No Religion
    • No Politics
    • No Profanity
  • Entries that do not meet these criteria will not enter into the voting round
  • Duplicate / Similar Entries — If the winner is a submission sent by multiple people, the first one received will be awarded the prize.
  • All decisions made by Town of Poughkeepsie staff are final
  • Town of Poughkeepsie staff will notify winners via email. Winners MUST reply to claim their prize.
